2008 Insight Awards Program
Semiconductor Insights (SI) in collaboration with EETimes, TechOnline and Portelligent proudly introduce the 2008 Insight Awards. For the past seven years the Insight Awards have recognized companies for their technical achievements and innovations in the semiconductor industry.
The 2008 Insight Awards feature three returning categories and will introduce two new categories. The existing categories are: DRAM, Non-Volatile Memory and Process, and the two new categories are Best Patent Coverage of a Technical Innovation and Most Innovative Mobile Processor.
Category winners will be announced at various times throughout the year and a special awards ceremony will take place at the Embedded Systems Conference in San Jose, California in March 2009. The ceremony will provide a unique opportunity for winning companies to showcase their accomplishments to the rest of the technology community.
ABOUT THE NOMINATION & DECISION PROCESS
The program sponsors will nominate devices in each category. Vendors are also encouraged to submit nominations, however, the award selection committee reserves the right to approve all vendor-submitted nominations. There is no cost to vendors to participate in the awards.
To preserve the integrity and objectivity of the Insight Awards, Semiconductor Insights must have completed relevant analysis on the nominated device for it to qualify as a finalist.
The award selection committee includes Edward Keyes, SI´s Chief Technology Officer, David Carey, President, Portelligent, Patrick Mannion, Editor-in-Chief, TechOnline Network and Analysts from Semiconductor Insights and TechOnline. Every effort is made to interview all finalists to ensure accurate interpretation and representation of the submission.
To submit a nomination and/or to find out more about the Insight Awards, please contact Crystal Carty at crystalc@semiconductor.com.
